About Food Hunter

Food Hunter started from a simple daily question: "I don't know what to eat." We built a tool that answers it with places that are genuinely good, close by and matched to your own taste — from hawker stalls to cafés.

How suggestions are made

Each search looks at public ratings and reviews from Google Maps, local places listed on OpenStreetMap, public food posts and videos, and your own taste settings and ratings. Every place gets a match score, and we show the reasons behind it so you can decide for yourself.

Independence

Restaurants cannot pay to rank higher in suggestions. Advertising on the site is always labelled "Sponsored" or "Advertisement" and is kept separate from the food results.

Guides

We also write practical food guides on hawker centres, budget eating and dietary needs.
